PTC Members at the Chattahoochee Challenge Feb 8, 2014
we are wrapping up our Winter Incentive challenge, its time now to look
ahead to the Spring quarter! We've got a schedule jam packed with
swimming, biking, and running goodness! Here are some highlights for
We will have 3 clinics
this month, including a "rules of the road clinic", and an "urban
riding" clinic led by Gia Maddry. A transition clinic will be led by
Randy Jordan. Randy's clinic will preview the TriPathlon course, which
contains some good hilly riding, for those who just want a good intown
ride, but aren't doing the race. Check the calendar for details! Also,
we will have the first of the "Kennesaw Mountain Hill Climbing
Challenge", to be held once a month, and led by Pam White. Check the
calendar for details and skill requirements.
April will include a
Hill climbing clinic, led by Gia Maddry, and a swim clinic (which will
be conducted by a pro triathlete!). In addition, we will have a trail
run at Yellow River, a mystery April Fool's Day workout, more ride/run
bricks at Silk Sheets, and a huge training day which includes an open
water swim, then a bike and run in Cartersville.
This is where we see all
that hard work pay off! We'll have a course preview of the Peachtree
City Triathlon course, which is our first club race, then we have 2 club
triathlons that month: Peachtree City, and the Coliseum Rock N
All this, along with our weekly swims, runs and
bike/run workouts give you lots of opportunity to train with your fellow
PTC club members.
