Volunteering for the swimming events of the Special Olympics State Games at Emory University
We
are more than just a triathlon club! We want to make a difference in
our community! Periodically, we will plan a different Community Service
Day in which our members may participate.
2011 Community Service Events:
Q2: Special Olympics Georgia Summer Games -
On Sunday, May 22nd, we volunteer
for the final day of Aquatics competitions in the indoor pool at Emory.
Duties included being timers, escorting athletes, lining up athletes
for their competitions, and of course cheering and offering
encouragement!
Q3: PT Solutions Acworth Women Sprint Triathlon
Sunday, August 7, 2011, 6:00am-11:00am
Acworth, GA, Dallas Landing
Peachtree Tri Club is the primary triathlon club providing 10-15
volunteers for PT Solutions Acworth Women's Sprint Triathlon. Many of
our club members are racing and we encourage members not racing to
volunteer their time as a way to give back to the triathlon community.
Friends and family are welcome to volunteer as well. Duties may include
body marking, aid stations and directing triathletes on the bike, run
courses. If you would like to volunteer or you are signed up for the
